#Destinymoments
In the journey to purpose and destiny, God first starts with giving you a word of how your life is to eventually look like. This is usually a euphoria moment because the things He says seem out of this world considering who you currently seem to be. Then the pattern from here is your life starts to get a bit crazy and you start wondering what is going on considering what God said…I mean like really God… I thought you and I were cool like that…
Notice each person that God used mightily in the Bible…Joseph, Abraham, Moses, David, and how they started out after having seemingly received a word from God. For Joseph he went from having a dream, to being thrown in the pit, to being a slave, and just when he was settling down in Potiphar’s house he gets thrown in prison. For David, after being anointed, he spent a couple of years ‘in exile’ running away from Saul…
What happens is the word that God speaks activates a series of events in your life that are meant to build your character in preparation for the fulfilment of that word. And we are meant to be active participants in this whole process otherwise our ignorance leads to forfeiting our purpose and destiny. Active participation entails always taking God’s perspective in every situation which eventually leads you to a place where you hear and begin to understand the voice of God, and in doing so you allow for God to build wisdom and stature in you before He brings you to where He initially said He would bring you to.
These events sometimes look like things are going from bad to worse but that’s usually a sign that God is at work in your life especially if you’re actively pursuing Him. The key is to stay on course until the completion of that process…
And ultimately, this process is meant to get you from being a mere Christian to being a son of God, and yes, there is a difference. One is okay with maintaining the status quo and is so callous with God’s will that they can’t tell what is and what isn’t of God, and even if they could tell they are too engrossed in either themselves or the world around them in service to their own needs that they exchange it for the faith walk (because getting to where God said He will get you to requires you to activate your faith); whereas the other gets touched with whatever seems out of line with God’s will so much so that to the average person they seem rather too intense but in God’s eyes they have the necessary prerequisites to ensure the will of God is established in whatever situation whether or not it makes them popular. As a matter of fact, the will of God is most often unpopular and uncool…but the power of it is unquestionable! And these are who God ultimately calls sons because they are led by the Spirit of God.
We are living in times where in order to thrive in the purposes of God, you have to be turned up from being a mere Christian to being a son of God…and if you don’t actively make that a pursuit you get blindsided by what appears godly (what the Bible says has a form of godliness but has no power thereof) but is in actual fact far from anything God would put His stamp on. And this, my friends, can be the make or break regarding you entering into your own destiny.
The first generation of Israelites from Egypt are the perfect example that show how “many can be called but few chosen” so much so that of that entire generation only two (Joshua and Caleb) entered the promised land (not even Moses Himself entered in) which should show you how serious and very personal God can get with destiny…
Having said that, the call of God is for each of us to ultimately live a fulfilled life where once God has made you ready, you do grand exploits that when people look on, they can see the footprints of God written all over your life.
May the voice of God be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path leading you to the you He created for you to be before He formed you….
